FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for selective flotation of kainite from ground crude potassium salts or, for example, from crystalline salt mixtures obtained by evaporation, which can contain, besides kainite, other minerals, such as halite, sylvite and other salt minerals, to obtain a concentrated fraction kainite and residual fraction. In the method of separation, the ground or crystallized salt mixture is mixed in a flotation solution with a combination of conditioning agents consisting of a sulphated fatty acid or a salt thereof with an alkali metal as a collector and a foaming agent known for flotation and then separated by method of impeller flotation or pneumatic flotation to concentrated fraction of kainite and residual fraction.
EFFECT: method provides industrial treatment of mineral mixtures for selective extraction of kainite by flotation.
