SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermal treatment of black tin with conversion coating and to production of black tin protected from corrosion. Method of thermal treatment of black tin with conversion coating for improvement of adhesion of conversion coating includes heating of black tin with conversion coating during period (t) of heat treatment, which lasts from 0.1 seconds to 30 seconds, to temperature from 240 °C to 320 °C. Proposed method comprises application of chromium-free conversion coating on at least one surface of black tin and said heat treatment of black tin with conversion coating.

EFFECT: invention improves adhesion of organic coatings to a tin substrate, and also relates to the development of a chromium-free packing tin, which can replace both tinless and white tin, and will have corrosion resistance and adhesion to organic coatings, in particular paint or polymer coating, comparable to white or tinless tin.
