FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hardening of metal part surface. Part surface is treated with impacts of bodies weighing 0.1 to 1000 grams by mechanical pulse with kinetic energy of up to 10 J. Hardening micro nanoparticles are fed into the treatment zone.
EFFECT: result is creation of layers with high hardness, wear resistance, heat resistance and corrosion resistance on metal surface.
