FIELD: hydraulic machines and engines.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a system and a method of controlling operation of a hydroelectric power generation system. Proposed system comprises electric drive mechanisms coupled with opposite positions of gate drive ring to rotate guide vanes to required position. System receives a single control signal designed for a hydraulic system containing hydraulic drives connected to a single reservoir for working fluid and made with possibility of synchronous operation for simultaneous axial displacements in opposite directions. System comprises a control interface configured to generate new control signals, each of which is addressed to another electric drive mechanism and is intended for axial movement of electric drive mechanisms with the same speed, but in opposite directions, simulating, in fact, accurate movement of hydraulic drives on working ring of gate. System is configured to introduce a damping effect designed to reduce sudden acceleration and deceleration used in hydraulic systems to overcome friction and static effects.
