FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: device is designed to perform operation (X+Y) mod 5, where X,Y∈{000, …, 100} is three-bit binary numbers specified by binary signals, and can be used in digital computer systems as a means of arithmetic processing of discrete information. Device comprises eleven EXCLUSIVE OR elements, nine AND elements and OR element.
EFFECT: simplification of the adder circuit modulo five due to reduction of its price according to Quine and reduction of the number of types of logic elements of the hardware composition with preservation of functional capabilities of the prototype.
