FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drilling of wells, in particular, to method of measuring pipe in well structure and device for said measurement. Device for measuring pipe in well structure comprises tubular body extending between the first and second ends and having an inner surface surrounding the passage therethrough, and an outer surface, wherein the body is made from a non-magnetic alloyed metal. Device further comprises a pair of flanges, each of which is connected to one of the first or second ends of the tubular body and comprises a passage through it, corresponding to the passage of the tubular body, wherein each of the pair of flanges is made with possibility of linear connection to the well structure. Device further comprises at least one sensor unit configured to be arranged around an outer portion of the tubular body, comprising a sensor, intended for measurement of magnetic field intensity, and at least one magnetic unit, which is arranged with the possibility of location around outer part of tubular body, containing at least one magnet.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining location of connections on a string for lowering tools or production string.
