FIELD: soil or rock drilling.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to well tools and can be used for determination of clamping points of pipe string. In particular, disclosed is a method of determining the position of a sensing device in a wellbore, comprising inserting a pipe string into a wellbore for performing a basic operation, wherein the pipe string comprises at least one sensing device for measurement of deformation and at least one device functionally connected to at least one sensing device; translational movement of the pipe string relative to the wellbore, communication of the load to the pipe string when the pipe string is stuck in the wellbore at the point of clamping, and thereby creating deformation in the pipe string above the clamping point; measuring deformation by at least one sensing device; transmitting data indicative of deformation to the well boring window on the ground surface by at least one device; and determining the position of at least one sensing device in the wellbore based on the deformation related to the clamp point; and introduction of column extraction system into wellbore. At that, column extraction system contains releasing device having landing surface engaged with limitation, which is provided in pipe string.

EFFECT: disclosed invention is a simple and reliable method of determining and eliminating points of clamping of pipe string in well.
