SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the industry of construction materials and can be used in making articles based on alkaline binder. Mixture for producing silicate bricks contains ash, sand and quick lime. Ash used is wood ash, which is subjected to joint grinding with sand and unslaked lime, with the following ratio of components, wt%: unslaked lime – 6–10, wood ash – 40–45, sand – the rest. Said problem is solved by using a mixture for producing silicate bricks, comprising ash and co-grinded sand and unslaked lime. Ash used is wood ash, which is subjected to joint grinding with sand and unslaked lime, with the following ratio of components, wt%: unslaked lime – 6–10, wood ash – 40–45, sand – balance.

EFFECT: reduced number of components of mixture, power consumption and expansion of raw material base due to use for production of wastes.
