SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the computer engineering. Method of changing information on a search results page comprises determining presence of a signal received from a user, on the need to change information on the search results page by clicking on a graphical interface of one of the indicator buttons with recording the current state, arranged on a computer display screen in a certain order, wherein their each position number corresponds to information of a certain nature peculiar only to that position number, and intended for output to one of the fields on the search results page; determination of position number of pressed indicator button with fixation of current state; determining the displayed on the pressed indicator button with recording the current state of the selected field position number on the search results page if the pressed indicator button is in the "on" state; removing all displayed fields on the search results page for each found document, starting from the selected field position number on the search results page and higher if the field with such position number was displayed on the search results page.

EFFECT: realizing a functional possibility of changing the order of displaying fields on a search results page.
