FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to experimental medicine, namely to pathological physiology, general surgery, thoracic surgery, and can be used as an indicative simulator, as well as testing new adhesive stickers for eliminating open pneumothorax. In the model of forming an open pneumothorax comprising a body and a pump, the body is rectangular of 6 mm thick polymethyl methacrylate, the seams of which are treated with a silicone sealant, wherein on the upper surface of the body there is a hole for simulating a defect with length of 80 mm with the possibility of applying a medical adhesive sticker with width of 40 mm, on the front side surface a hole is made with diameter of 25 mm and on the right side surface there are two round holes with diameter of 15 mm, wherein the circular hole on the front side surface is complemented with a thread for mounting a tube with a pressure gauge, at the ends of which there are two blown-up balls of rubber latex, on the right side surface there are two round holes for installing a pressure gauge and a pump for pumping air into the housing.

EFFECT: developed experimental prototype for simulation of open pneumothorax.
