FIELD: experimental medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental medicine, namely to military field surgery, damage surgery, thoracic surgery, disaster medicine. A model of a pressure pneumothorax is formed on a large animal - a swine. An artificial carboxythorax is created using an endovideosurgical rack insufflator connected to the pleural drainage. Pleural drainage is installed in the 4th intercostal space along the anterior axillary line. The drainage is connected to the endovideosurgical rack insufflator, and carbon dioxide is injected at a speed of 3 l/min until a pressure of 15 mm Hg is reached. At the same time, the heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure and saturation are monitored. Then a control radiography of the breast is performed. At the same time, the displacement of the mediastinum in the opposite direction, the presence of free air in the pleural cavity and the appearance of free air in the hypodermic tissue confirms the successful formation of a pressure pneumothorax. Then decompression is performed, while simultaneously monitoring the dynamics of the main indicators of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems. The breast radiography is performed again.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to form an optimal experimental model of a pressure pneumothorax on a large laboratory animal - a swine, followed by testing of prototypes of medical devices developed to eliminate this life-threatening condition.
