FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: non-lens method of introducing glow discharge into optic fiber is used in spectrometry of gases and plasma of electric discharges. Using the electrode located on the outer side of the glass cylinder of the gas-discharge lamp and the metallized tip of the optical fiber, forming an electric field of a special shape and a small area of intense gas emission which is automatically located near the end of the optical fiber, which enables to introduce radiation into the optical fiber without using additional optical elements.

EFFECT: simplified introduction of radiation into optical fiber.
