FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to piston rings with groove seal on piston ring surface. Piston ring (2) for at least one seal (14) of ring surface, in which on lower surface (8) of piston ring there is at least one groove (12) for sealing of ring surface. Piston ring (2) further comprises holes (18) extending from ring top surface (6) and/or ring inner surface (10) to groove (12) to seal ring surface. At that, ring (2) sealing (14) is provided, which is at least partially submerged into at least one groove (12) for ring surface sealing.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of leaks of gases from combustion chamber.
