FIELD: valve engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to universal retainer of fitting, which consists of cylindrical shell and support flange. Along the circumference of the support flange there are holes for fixation with a working fitting. In cylindrical shell holes are made, above which guide bushings are installed. Guide bushings accommodate bolts. At that, every bolt has thrust annular platform formed by difference in top and bottom bolt diameters while bolt end accommodates fixing elements arranged on cylindrical shell inner side. Fixing elements have ribbed thrust surface. When the bolt is twisted during installation of the universal fitting retainer on the pipe, the thrust annular platform of the bolt rests against the upper surface of the fixing element and the tightening force is transferred to the pipe, which is rigidly clamped between the fixing elements.
EFFECT: invention provides rigid fixation of fittings on pipes.
