SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of an analogue carrier for storing audio material. Digital audio data are converted into topographic data, which are analogue translation of digital audio data, and the laser beam is selectively applied to the substrate to form a physical impression of the topographical data on the surface of the substrate in order to create an analogue carrier for storing the audio material. Medium can be directly reproduced on a conventional playback device, such as a player.
EFFECT: invention provides more efficient production of carriers, for example vinyl records, and higher quality of analogue audio material.
