FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to a device for converting input voltage into output voltage, and is intended to provide high efficiency of power processing in the entire range of operating modes, selecting appropriately suitable operating mode. Conversion device (1) includes converter (2) and digital control unit (3) for control of converter (2). Converter (2) includes reactive elements, including hinged capacitor (Cfly). Converter (2) includes seven switches (SW1–SW7) to perform at least two different operating modes. Logic of mode selection (8) of control unit (3) selects one of operating modes depending on specified operating conditions.

EFFECT: converting device and method of controlling said converting device are disclosed.
