FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of processing off-grade pelletized products of MOX-fuel production prior to sintering. Method of dissolving off-grade pelletized MOX-fuel production includes separate dissolution of uranium and plutonium. Off-grade material is treated in inert gas current at temperature of 400–450 °C, uranium is extracted into nitric acid solution with concentration from 90 to 180 g/l at temperature 81–95 °C with subsequent separation of formed nitrate solution of uranyl nitrate. Plutonium-containing insoluble residue is exposed in presence of electrolytically generated bivalent silver in nitric acid solution with concentration of 240 to 360 g/l at temperature of 30–40 °C.

EFFECT: invention allows to carry out refining of plutonium flow without preliminary preparatory operations and return target components to technological circuit.
