FIELD: nuclear engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering, in particular to the technology of producing mixed oxide (MOX-fuel, REMIX-fuel) or nitride uranium-plutonium nuclear fuel (MNUP-fuel) for fast or thermal neutron reactors. Method of producing pelletized uranium-plutonium fuel includes stages of preparation of molding powder, its granulation, pressing, sintering of the obtained pellets, grinding of pellets. At the stage of molding powder preparation, initial powders of uranium and plutonium are averaged by isotopic, chemical and granulometric composition in a mechanical mixer. Mixture is loaded into remotely maintained vibrating mill of nuclear-safe design, loading valve is tightly closed and simultaneously crushed, mixed, granulated, at specified values of axial and radial vibration acceleration and amplitude.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain the required quality of fuel pellets while minimizing radiation exposure on personnel.
