FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of processing magnesium alloys, specifically to composite coatings formed by a combination of plasma electrolytic oxidation and fluoropolymer spraying, and can be used in machine building, including automotive industry, instrument making, aircraft engineering and space engineering, as well as medicine. Method involves obtaining protective composite coatings on magnesium alloy, plasma-electrolytic oxidation to obtain a porous layer and formation of fluoropolymer layers by spraying a suspension of ultrafine polytetrafluoroethylene in isopropyl alcohol.
EFFECT: reduced fire hazard, simplified process.
