DEVICE FOR REAL-TIME DETERMINATION OF THE DEGREE OF CONCENTRATION OF ATTENTION OF AN OPERATOR WHEN PERCEIVING AND PROCESSING INFORMATION Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/48 A61B5/16

Abstract RU 2704562 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diagnostic biomedical equipment. Device for real-time determination of concentration of attention of an operator during perception and processing of information includes a unit for recording EEG bioelectric potentials, stimulator implemented with possibility during time intervals, duration of which can be pre-set or determined randomly, alternating the modes of presenting to the operator visual and audio stimuli or lack thereof for monitoring individual background activity and generating a binary trigger signal for synchronizing elements of the device, an analysis unit comprising two band-pass filters, two integrators, two detectors and four sampling-storage devices, an inverter, two tristable comparators, a clocked adder configured to sum two signals at the input when changing the trigger signal front. Band-pass filters are made with possibility to separate the frequency bands corresponding to the EEG alpha- and beta-bands from the EEG signals. Integrators and detectors are configured to calculate power of frequency components of the input signal independently in alpha and beta bands. Sampling-storage device flip-flops are configured to store the power values of these frequency components calculated at time intervals before and after presentation of the stimulus to the test person. Comparators are configured to determine change in alpha and beta frequency bands before and after presentation of stimulus. Clocked by trigger signal adder is configured to add comparator signals and to generate at the output a signal characterizing the operator's attention level.

EFFECT: real-time detection of dynamics of concentration level of voluntary attention of an operator during the execution of the proposed task.
