FIELD: hydromechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a propulsion unit equipped with a steering device. Steering device comprises at least one steering motor which rotates propulsive unit by means of power transmission device. Power transmission device includes a differential containing the first shaft connected to the steering motor, the second shaft connected to the propulsion unit, and the third shaft connected to the braking device. Note here that third shaft rotation locking is enabled when torque generated by external force to propulsion unit is lower than threshold value, as a result power is distributed only from steering motor to propulsion unit or vice versa. There is possibility of the third shaft rotation start, when the torque produced by the external force exertion to the propulsion unit is higher than the threshold value, as a result, power is distributed from steering motor to rotation of propulsion unit and to braking device or from rotation of propulsion unit to steering motor and to braking device.
EFFECT: providing secondary low-inertia route for excessive torque.
