FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to aqueous polyurethane-vinyl polymer hybrid dispersions for producing coating systems. Said dispersion contains hydrophobically modified hydroxy-functional polyesters A, acids B, optionally hydroxy-functional oligomeric or polymer compounds C as elementary links, optionally monomer hydroxy compounds D, optionally compound E, optionally compound F, compound G, olefin-unsaturated monomers H2, olefin-unsaturated monomers H1, multifunctional isocyanates I. Complex polyesters A are obtained by reacting acid groups of polyester A', having residual hydroxyl and acid groups with monofunctional compound A4. Compound A4 has an epoxy functional group and a linear or branched alkyl residue of at least four carbon atoms. Ac acids B have additional groups which react with isocyanates to form urethanes. Compounds C are polyesters, polycarbonates, polyethers, polyamides, polydienes and polyenes having at least two hydroxyl groups per molecule. Compounds D have at least two hydroxyl groups per molecule. Compounds E have at least one primary or secondary amino group and at least one hydroxyl group per molecule. Compounds F have two or more primary or secondary amino groups per molecule and are free from hydroxyl groups. Compounds G have only one hydroxyl group and one or more tertiary amine groups. H2 monomers have a polymerisable ethylene double bond and an additional functional group which reacts with the isocyanate group to form a bond. H1 monomers have at least one polymerised ethylene double bond and no additional functional group which reacts with the isocyanate group. Isocyanates I have at least two isocyanate groups per molecule.
EFFECT: obtained polyurethane-vinyl polymer hybrid dispersions give film coatings with improved adhesion between layers and high water- and moisture-resistance.
