FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the tobacco industry, more specifically to smoking articles containing a combustible heat source and an aerosol-forming substrate. Disclosed is a smoking article which contains a combustible heat source (102), aerosol-forming substrate (104) located downstream of the combustible heat source (102), and wrapper (120) surrounding at least a rear portion of combustible source (102) of heat and at least front part of aerosol-forming substrate (104). Plurality of inwardly extending projections are provided on inner surface of wrapper (120) covering combustible heat source (102). Plurality of inwardly extending projections cover from approximately 10 percent to approximately 70 percent of the surface area of inner surface of wrapper (120) overlapping combustible heat source (102).
EFFECT: technical result is improved efficiency of smoking article and reduced adverse effect on heat transfer by heat conduction from combustible heat source to aerosol-forming substrate.
