SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to embodiments of an aerosol generator with an improved outermost wrapper. The aerosol generator includes a proximal end and a distal end. Also contains a combustible carbon-containing heat source located at the distal end of the aerosol generation article. Also contains an aerosol generation substrate located between the combustible carbon-containing heat source and the proximal end of the aerosol generation article. Also comprises an outermost wrap around at least a portion of the aerosol generation substrate. The outer surface of the outermost wrapper forms at least a portion of the outer surface of the aerosol generation article. The outermost wrapper contains a metallized substrate containing a substrate layer and a metal layer located radially outside the substrate layer. The substrate layer is coated with a metal layer by vapor deposition.
EFFECT: improved control of the temperature profile of a heated aerosol generation product.
