FIELD: air cleaner.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an air cleaner comprising a filter cleaning device. Air cleaner comprises: housing with holes to provide suction opening and air outlet; air passage communicating the suction opening with the air outlet; fan located on air passage; a filter facing the suction opening; and filter cleaning device; wherein the cleaning device includes a supply shaft, on which a filter having the shape of a sheet is wound, a winding shaft for winding a filter thereon, a drive motor configured to bring the winding shaft into rotary motion, a biasing part configured to rotate the supply shaft in a direction opposite to the winding direction on the winding shaft, a brush unit configured to slide on the filter during rotation of the winding shaft, and a rotation detector for determining the number of rotation units of the drive motor, wherein the device is configured to determine, based on the result obtained by the rotation detector, that the drive motor has left the synchronization mode, and when the drive engine exits the synchronization mode, the rotation of the drive motor is reversed.

EFFECT: present invention aims at providing an air purifier with sufficient filter cleaning.
