FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: plasma torch includes at least one supply channel (34, 35) in housing (30), through which plasma-forming gas (PG1 and/or PG2) is directed to nozzle hole (210). Inside housing (30) there is fenced cavity (11) connected to at least one supply channel (34, 35), and in passage of said enclosed cavity there is valve (33), which opens and closes said passage. Direction of plasma-forming gas (PG1 and/or PG2) from at least one supply channel (34, 35) to nozzle hole (210) is provided when valve (33) is in open state. Passage in enclosed cavity (11) is directed outwards of housing (30) and is connected with environment or is connected to unit creating underpressure, and/or to container, in which pressure is maintained below pressure in said at least one supply channel (34, 35) in area in front of nozzle hole (210).
EFFECT: invention relates to a plasma torch, preferably a plasma cutter.
