SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a plasma torch, in particular to a plasma cutter. The plasma torch is made with a supply channel (34) for a plasma-forming gas (PG1), in which at least one secondary medium (SG1, SG2) is directed in at least one supply channel (61, 62) through the body (30) of the plasma torch (1) to the hole (250) of the nozzle protection cap and/or to additional holes (250a) in the nozzle protection cap (25). Moreover, there is at least one valve (63, 64) for opening and closing the supply channel (61, 62) in at least one supply channel (61, 62) directly inside the body (30) of the plasma torch (1). Divided supply channels (61a, 61b) obtained by dividing one supply channel (61) into at least two parallel supply channels (61a, 61b) for one secondary medium or supply channels (61, 62) for different secondary media (SG1, SG2) are combined inside the body (30) of the plasma torch (1), in the plasma head, in the space formed by the nozzle or the nozzle cap and the nozzle shield. The merging of the secondary media streams from the divided feed channels (61a, 61b and / or 61, 62) preferably occurs before, during or after passing through the gas guide (27) of the plasma torch (1).
EFFECT: invention ensures ability to quickly activate and deactivate the secondary medium, the ability to quickly switch from one secondary medium to another during the cutting process, the ability to quickly respond to changes by switching the secondary medium, for example, during the start of cutting, infeed machining, notching, during the cutting process, when crossing a cut or the end of a cut, and ability to quickly switch between two cutting processes.
