FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to type of control measuring devices of template type, used to control dimensions, determination of degree of wear of threads of conical joints, mainly joints of pipes of oil range. Proposed device makes it possible to control wear of "H" thread in millimeters thread, drill pipes separately for nipple and coupling parts. Device for thread wear control is made in the form of a template representing mating part of controlled thread equipped with magnetic grippers, one end of which is hinged on external surface of template, and to other end there are magnets installed. Besides, the proposed template is made of a pipe similar to the one being measured and mechanically treated till weight is reduced up to 6 times. Three magnetic grippers are located at angle of 120 degrees relative to each other. On magnetic grips there are neodymium magnets with detachable force of 5 kgf.
EFFECT: improving control accuracy of lock thread wear in any position of controlled pipes.
