SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to a pharmaceutical composition for treating bacterial infections. Pharmaceutical composition contains ertapenem and compound of formula I. Implementation of the invention consists in synergistic antibacterial activity of ertapenem with a compound of formula I.

EFFECT: disclosed invention discloses a method for preventing or treating a bacterial infection and a method of increasing ertapenem antibacterial activity.
