FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For the purpose of treating secondary cataract with pseudophakia c after the extraction of congenital cataract in children, a posterior capsulectomy and a front vitrectomy are performed in the posterior eye chamber through paracentesis in the limb and through peripheral iridotomy without shifting the IOL in the capsular sac. Capsulectomy is performed through a puncture of the posterior capsule with formation of a hole with a tip of a vitreous cutter.
EFFECT: method provides preventing the vitreous body from falling into an anterior chamber and an operative incision, forming vitreocorneal adhesions with IOL decentralization and dislocation, developing inflammation and macular edema of the retina, loss of endothelial cells, and damage to anterior capsulorhexis.
