FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to automotive suspensions with variable ground clearance, and more specifically to adjustable spring suspensions with power electric-reducer drive mainly for use in motor transport. Coil-spring suspension of the vehicle with an adjustable road clearance comprises a cylindrical helical spring (1), on the turns of which there is adjustment device (2) fixed on the vehicle body. Adjusting device (2) is made in form of shaped nut made in the form of two coaxial round cylindrical bushings (3) and (4) rigidly connected to each other along helical lines by pins (5). On pins (5) are installed with possibility of rotation, for example, on needle bearings (6), upper loading rollers (7) and lower supporting rollers (8) conjugated with coils of cylindrical helical spring (1).
EFFECT: coil-spring suspension of the vehicle provides higher rigidity of the suspension with reduced road clearance, reduced stiffness with increasing road clearance and possibility of installing a telescopic shock absorber inside the spring without problems with access to its upper attachment point.
