FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, in particular to methods for identification of freight cars by type of bearings. According to the method of identification of freight cars by type of bearings during their thermal diagnostics at movement of a train, in addition to measuring parameters of heat signals dT, the lengths of wheel pairs Li as assembled with bearing assemblies and diameters Di of various bearing assemblies in jaw openings of lateral frames of bogies of different models, according to the analysis results, the decision is made on availability of wheelsets with cylindrical bearings in axle boxes or conical bearings in half-boxes-adapters in a controlled car. To realize this method, floor thermal control facilities are additionally equipped with contactless distance measuring devices – range meters based on laser triangulation sensors.
EFFECT: higher reliability of cargo wagons identification by type of bearings during their thermal diagnostic control.
