FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used in welding articles from titanium alloys with ultrasonic inspection of obtained welds. Welding wire is made of titanium-based alloy with boron content of 0.05–0.20 wt. %. Welding method involves formation of weld seam or weld seams from said welding wire and nondestructive inspection of articles from titanium alloy containing one or more such welds using ultrasonic waves to detect internal defects. Method enables production of high-quality articles from titanium alloys without the need for intermediate treatment of weld joints by hot pressure treatment for grinding the structure.

EFFECT: structure of welded seam obtained using said wire provides for ultrasonic inspection of welded seam from titanium alloy with low noise level.
