MICROSTRIP ANTENNA Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC H01Q21/00

Abstract RU 2705937 C1

FIELD: antenna equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an antenna technique and can be used as a receiving or transmitting antenna or phased array antenna element in radio communication or radiolocation systems. According to the invention, the microstrip antenna has a first dielectric layer having on the upper side a plurality of first printed emitters, and from the lower side – a first screen, a second dielectric layer located above the first dielectric layer, several second printed emitters, each of which is located above the corresponding first printed emitter, the third dielectric layer located above the second dielectric layer, the fourth dielectric layer located under the first dielectric layer, and the fifth dielectric layer. On the upper surface of the fifth dielectric layer there is a power divider, from which the first printed emitter is powered from below, and on the lower surface of the fifth dielectric layer there is a second screen, second printed emitters are located on the lower surface of the third dielectric layer, the microstrip antenna has several pairs of first and second printed emitters, the arrangement of which is made at equidistant distance in nodes of the rectangular or triangular grid. Second dielectric layer is made of glass-cloth laminate or other dielectric and has through holes made at equidistant distance in units of rectangular or triangular mesh; centers of holes coincide with centers of pairs of the first and second printed radiators, at that sizes of holes correspond to sizes of the first printed radiator.

EFFECT: shorter period of manufacture of a microstrip antenna owing to possibility of its manufacture using a widely used technology of making multilayer printed circuit boards.
