FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of measuring pressure of gaseous and liquid substances, namely to methods for determining pressure of saturated vapors of high pour point oil, content of free and dissolved gases in it, and can be used in oil and oil refining industry. Method consists in the fact that before measurement of pressure of saturated oil vapors the first part of oil sample is taken and the temperature of pour point of oil is determined. After that, main part of oil sample is sampled into sampling vessel, overflow device is installed into neck of sealed container with main part of oil sample. Main part of oil sample is temperature-controlled in sealed container together with overflow device at temperature of 3–5 °C exceeding pour point of oil, until breakdown of oil temperature equilibrium. Thermostated sample is transferred by means of an overflow device into Reid vapor pressure liquid chamber for a period of time not exceeding three minutes, and pressure of saturated oil vapor is measured.
EFFECT: low measurement result error.
