SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and device for cross-linking or vulcanisation of elongated element, wherein said method comprises extrusion stage (2) whereat coating is applied onto conductive element in the form of layer of cross-linked synthetic material and step (3) of crosslinking whereat cross-linking is performed after extrusion. Cross-linking reaction is carried out first in the first heating zone (3a) as a result of heating the conductive element coated with a coating at temperature of 550 degrees Celsius or more. First heating zone (3a) is located downstream of process stream relative to extrusion stage (2). After the first heating zone (3a), the cross-linking reaction is carried out further as a result of heating the conductor coated with a coating at temperature of 200–300 degrees Celsius in the second heating zone (3b).
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is higher quality of products.
