SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of generating animated distortion on a display. Method includes dividing an electronic device display into a plurality of areas defined by vertices, calculating time-varying positions for each vertex relative to the measurement of z and arranging the display screen, which includes varying positions for each vertex to generate animated distortion on the display. Time-varying positions vary between the magnified and decreased positions, thereby forming a distortion on the display so as to appear to move towards and away from the user viewing the screen. At that, at the calculation stage sinusoidal function of the piston rod is used, the length of which changes with time, wherein the piston is connected to a piston rod, which rotates about the axis, causing the piston to move up and down, and the position of the piston represent time-varying positions for each vertex.

EFFECT: providing animated distortions on the display, moving to the user and from the user browsing the screen, forming a visual wave effect.
