FIELD: valve engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water intake valves. Hydrant comprises riser with inner space and outer side, and locking device, which is configured to transfer at least one open position into at least one locked position and vice versa. Locking device is designed so that in its closed state inner space of riser is sealed relative to inlet part of hydrant. Hydrant comprises at least a first through hole through which the inner space of the riser can be connected to the outer side of the hydrant with the possibility of passage of fluid medium, and a second through hole, through which the hydrant pressurized inlet can be connected to the hydrant outer side with the possibility of passage of fluid medium. First and second feed openings can be brought into communication with each other, wherein this interaction due to water flowing through the second through hole, creates a vacuum, which provides removal through the first through hole of water, located in the inner space of the riser, and thereby clearing the riser from water.
EFFECT: reliable water discharge from the riser.
