FIELD: agriculture; machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the agricultural machine building. Device for collection of grass comprises main frame 1, support wheels 2 and handle 3, cutting mechanism 4 with active element 5 and fixed blade 6, detachable grass collector 7 and drive mechanism 8 of cutting mechanism 4. Cutting mechanism 4 receives torque from support wheels 2 via drive 8. Active element 5 of cutting mechanism 4 is made in the form of two flexible endless tapes. Tapes are installed on pulleys with possibility of circular movement and with possibility to clamp between working surfaces grass and to draw it along mating part of working surfaces to the level of grass collector 7. Working surfaces of belts are oriented along direction of mower movement. Said bands are driven by support wheels 2 via drive 8 to transmit torque from support wheels 2.

EFFECT: device for collection of grass makes it possible to selectively capture, shear off the stalk of the herb of interest, a bunch of grass stems, and to collect it into a grass collector, without grasping at the same time other growing herbs, keeping them viable.
