FIELD: agricultural engineering.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has clamping conveyors and flax fiber layer connecting device. Separating clamping conveyor is offset in horizontal plane relative to holding conveyor, and its discharge end is raised in vertical plane. Flax fiber layer connecting device is formed as conveying-and-turning mechanism with pressing guides. Said device has feeding pulley and discharge pulley positioned laterally of feeding pulley, driven pulleys positioned in pairs rearward of said pulleys on pins, and endless belt running around said pulleys and having at a portion between feeding pulley and pair of driven pulleys positioned rearward of it a portion turning in opposite direction relative to belt portion between discharge pulley and pair of driven pulleys positioned rearward of discharge pulley. Conveying-and-turning mechanism is located so that feeding and discharge pulleys are arranged in horizontal plane between discharge ends of clamping conveyors.
EFFECT: improved quality of harvesting and preparing of flax fiber for processing.
