SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the agriculture. From the infected area, the soil layer is first removed to depth of 8–10 cm and a layer of hydrated lime Ca(OH)₂ is uniformly applied on the entire area of the infected area with magnesium hydroxide content Mg(OH)₂ not more than 5 wt % in amount of 5–10 kg/m².

EFFECT: higher efficiency of fighting Sosnovsky cow-hound owing to lack of germination of weed shoots.
