FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, specifically to control of undesirable vegetation. Vegetative ground part of the plant is exposed by isolating the vegetative ground part of the plant from sunlight. In spring, at the first appearance of leaves of the plant, Sosnowsky's hogweed (Heracleum sosnowskyi) is covered with mulching material, for example freshly cut grass or straw, so that apical part of only one sheet plate remains in light above surface of mulching material. As new leaves appear, they are covered with a new layer of mulching material so that apical part of only one new plate remains in the light above the surface of the mulching material. Process is repeated until complete death of the plant.
EFFECT: simplified technology and reduced labor costs and funds for removal of plants from controlled territory.
