FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to automotive industry, traffic police and, in particular, can be used for protection of fuel tank against spillage and ignition of fuel in accidents. Petrol filling and ignition prevention system in case of accident involving fuel tank truck comprises fuel tank. According to the invention, tank and free surface of tank truck body are closed with cover made of hygroscopic fabric with thickness of 5–10 cm, and front and rear bumpers are installed on springs.
EFFECT: prevention of destruction of tank at accident, reduced probability of ignition of fuel, delay of spillage of fuel on road to ensure possibility for all participants of movement to leave fuel inflammation zone.
