SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to power supply of aircraft heavier than air using solar panels. Disclosed is a method of power supply of aircraft heavier than air, based on use of electric motors and solar panels, made with possibility to trap scattered and reflected light radiation both from underlying surface, and from located above or below aircraft of cloud cover. To generate electric energy, solar panels are used, which are arranged both on lower part of wings and aircraft body turned during flight to ground, and on their upper surface, as well as optionally on side surfaces of its body or fuselage. Additional structures are connected with aircraft, carrying solar panels and supercapacitors, in which electric energy is accumulated from solar panels. Aircraft is configured to implement the method.
EFFECT: group of inventions is aimed at increasing the power-to-weight ratio.
