METHOD FOR POWER SUPPLY OF A SEA OR RIVER VESSEL USING ENGINES POWERED BY ELECTRIC ENERGY USING SOLAR PANELS, USING THE ALBEDO EFFECT Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B63H19/00

Abstract RU 2701278 C1

FIELD: shipbuilding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water sea and river transport. For power supply of sea or river vessel electric motors driven by electric power are used, including but not limited to screw, water-jet, screw and wheel motors. By means of solar batteries the albedo effect is used, which consists in catching scattered and reflected light radiation both from the water surface and from the cloud cover. To generate electric energy, solar batteries are used, which convert scattered and reflected radiation of both visible and ultraviolet spectrum. Solar batteries are arranged both on deck of ship, at its presence, and on sides, masts and towed on float structures behind ship.

EFFECT: higher power-to-weight, lifting capacity and cruising range of vessel, as well as resistance to natural and weather factors.
