FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agrochemistry, is intended for use in plant growing during calculation of optimal doses of potassium fertilizers introduced into soils for agricultural crops. Method includes process of saturation of soil exchange complex with singly-charged weakly hydrated cation. Said cation is fixed inside crystalline lattice of mineral by heating with subsequent displacement of cations from exchange positions of NH4+ ions. Saturating single-charge cation used is cesium labeled with radioactive isotope 137Cs, content of which is determined by method of γ-spectrometry.
EFFECT: more accurate, easy-to-implement and faster method of determining vermiculite in soil.
