FIELD: veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine and represents a method for treating postpartum paresis in cows, comprising administering into an animal's body a complex preparation consisting of a fraction of ASD-2 and additives, characterized in that the preparation contains additives represented by calcium boron gluconate and 70 % ethyl alcohol, and the filler used is mixture of 40 % glucose solution and 2 % novocaine taken in ratio of 1:1, with following ratio of components, wt%: ASD-2 fraction – 5 %, calcium boron gluconate – 15 %, 70 % ethyl alcohol – 10 %, filler – rest, which is introduced intraperitoneally once in a dose of not more than 200 ml per one animal's head heated to temperature of 35–38 °C.

EFFECT: use of the declared invention provides higher clinical effectiveness in postpartum paresis of cows with no negative effect on tissues.
