FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of veterinary medicine, to the development of metabolic agents intended for metabolic correction, reproductive function and milk production of high-yielding cows in the perinatal period. The method consists in the injection of a biostimulant. The biostimulant includes succinic acid 10.0 g, ASD 2 fractions 40 ml, oxytocin 100 ml, formalin 4.0 ml, novocaine 2.5 g. When preparing the drug, succinic acid and novocaine are dissolved, each component separately, in distilled water when heated to 70–80°C until complete dissolution, followed by mixing of all solutions at a temperature of 25–30°C and bringing the volume to 1000 ml with packaging in 100 ml bottles and sterilization in an autoclave in the mode of 1.0–1.1 atm for 20 minutes. The medicinal product is administered to cows intramuscularly at a dose of 10 ml three times, immediately after birth, 10 and 20 days after birth.

EFFECT: use of the invention will allow for the correction of metabolic processes in cows and increase the resistance of the maternal organism after childbirth.
