SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for orienting and decorating an end cap of a beverage container, a device for receiving and orienting a metal end cap of a beverage container. Said method includes the following steps: providing a plurality of metal end covers, feeding the metal end cap into the first end of the arched guide assembly of the alignment device, alignment of orienting device engagement with outer surface of metal end cover, rotation of metal end cover to align it in predetermined orientation, placing the metal end cap on the holder next to the second end of the guiding unit, moving the orienting head out of engagement with the metal end cap and decorating the predetermined portion of the outer surface of the metal end cap.
EFFECT: said method is an economical, fast and reliable method of orienting the modified end covers to ensure application of decoration and other preferred signs on specific areas of end covers.
