FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in production of metal end covers. Disclosed is a system for orienting taking into account the direction of rolled metal semi-finished products of metal covers. Direction of rolled metal is determined by detecting traces from rolls on metal semi-finished products. Metal end covers are formed by means of tooling adapted to perform operations both in rolling direction and transverse direction.
EFFECT: raised resistance to destruction of end covers due to taking into account direction of rolled stock at their manufacture.
